Favorite oils
I think my favorite is frankincense. I find that when i go on hikes I will pick off the tree sap from the pine trees, take it home and use it as natural incense and it smells just like it. I also love tea rose oil and will wear some daily, and lavender for relaxation/decompressing. What are your favorites/go tos?

My favourite is essential oil of violet - good for insomnia, stress and headaches. I don't mind a bit of Moroccan musk either - it smells like you could eat it - like a kid in a candy store and then there's Spiritual Sky frangipani. It smells like a balmy tropical rainstorm and heightens my senses.

I absolutely adore essential oil of violet. Haven't found any for many years.
Lavender....Frankincense (has to be one of my ultimate favourites that one!) Vetiver....pine. |
Chamomile is right up there ~ also really like spearmint at the moment :)
|
I really like jasmine. There's something familiar about it, like it reminds me of something, but I can't figure out what.
|
I'd have to agree with Nurture, my favourite is Frankincense also. In fact, that was the first oil I ever purchased. I've recently discovered it is wonderful when combined with orange!
|
I love Tanacetum and Red Mandarin.
I would very much like to get my hands on Violet, and Spiritual Sky frangipani |
I love Tuberose and Frangipini.

If anyone who said they adore violet oil happens to be reading this, I wanted to share a supplier which has violet leaf absolute in stock, if that is what you're all referring to.
https://www.edenbotanicals.com/produ...-oils-v-z.html they even offer a tiny sample size which is just 6 drops for $3 in case you wanted to smell it before buying a bigger bottle to see if it is what you want or are searching for. but this company only does free shipping for orders over $49. not sure how much a tiny sample bottle would cost to ship, maybe not much so it could be worth looking into. anyway I just wanted to share that cuz I was sure I've seen the violet for sale somewhere I've purchased from and a couple of you were so passionate about the violet hehe Ahhh I love essential oils!! My favorites are frankincense, the serrata variety, and also helichrysum I love sooo much. ylang ylang is another. citrus oils like lemon, orange, grapefruit, bergamot. myrrh, rose, german chamomile, and I really loved blue tansy for a while but now I don't know the 'funky' note of it fades too quickly for me now and it smells to cloyingly similar to chamomile, as it's also called moroccan chamomile. I love lavender too and a good smelling eucalyptus and peppermint, spearmint.. I've only gotten weirdly sweet smelling eucalyptus recently though unfortunately. I want a great piney smelling oil too but am afraid I'll get another sweetish smelling one of that like I did with silver fir. anyway I just love essential oils lol, and looking above at others' answers I have to add neroli, and some geranium with extra twang I really enjoy too. oh and jasmine if it's not too polluted by solvent or whatever. though I found a co2 extract recently but not sure if it is. I got a vanilla co2 diluted in carrier oil though, from the company I linked above, it is just heavenly! :love5: |
White Rose

Patchouli- smells like new banknotes
Lemon and orange |
Lilacs, Hibiscus ( apple), roses (earthy floral smells).

Somewhat recently I discovered a store called “Saje” which sells a lot of diffuser eo blends. I’ve favourited the one called rainforest the most (blend of balsam fir, pine and cedar wood). The woodsy aroma picks up my spirit and relaxes me. I very much love rose and lavender too. I’m enjoying reading others favs .. - Raven Royalty

My favorite essential oil right now is called copaiba by doTERRA
Copaiba is also known as copal: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copaiba It is a species of wild bergamot. In fact, I am a huge fan of all essential oils made from tree resins and use tree resin oils in my personal healing journey now. Indian frankincense (boswellia) helps with my anxiety and arthritis. Sandalwood helps with grounding and being present. Pine and camphor is uplifting and helps with sinus congestion and muscle cramps. Dragon's Blood helps with meditation, relaxation and calming thoughts. In fact, most of my essential oils are tree resin based now, as I really enjoy their earthy, woody and pungent aromas..with their healing and protective odors....designed to be a natural insect repellent for the tree, but can have great health benefits for people too. |
I never grow tired of Sweet Orange and Lemongrass essential oils to lift my spirits.

When people say these scents -I'm wondering if they mean they are combining them.

I recently discovered grapefruit essential oil, and I've fallen in love with it :)
