What you said about the neck issues being connected to the solar plexus tallies with my own experience, I've found from observing myself that an issue in one area of the body is often connected to an energy centre elsewhere in the body. What you said about needing a solid foundation in the lower three chakras also makes a lot of sense, I first noticed energetic activity in my third eye and crown chakras (a reflection of how much I was in my head, I suspect) but realised pretty quickly that it was my lower energy centres I was going to have to work on if that energy was every going to circulate properly.
