A Bridge Across Forever
The Richard Bach book on his relationship with Leslie Parrish. Figured this would be a good opportunity to go and reread it. People get a bit perturbed because their marriage subsequently broke up (mutually tho IIRC), but it remains a pretty good model for such a relationship I'd say.
