Tea with soapy taste
I bought 200 grams of mugwort loose leaf and want to know if it is suppose to taste like soap. I put loose leaves in a tea infuser. I used 1 tsp of loose leaves should I use less or is it expired? When I smelled it the best I could it did not smell like soap, but earl gray tea. The leaves match the mugwort pics on Google but very dark green.

Thx native spirit I will do that. The mugwort I mention was bitter was not mugwort. It was wormwood from amazon. The color is black on one side and the other side is bright gray. When I purchase another pack of mugwort tea from a tea shop it taste real real bitter. So thx for the replies.

I wouldn't have thought of drinking mugwort tea. It is an interesting concept. I picked a bunch a year or so ago- I was so excited to find it. I burnt it like sage - it didn't burn well but it had a very bitter aroma. I felt it cleared the energies in the room well. I might try drinking it one day.
