That line is beyond our ability to comprehend. That is we are in an apparent physical universe, we are part of that physical universe and all the tools to examine it are also part of that physical universe.
We will never objectively measure anything beyond the physical universe because by definition anything we measure will be considered part of the physical universe. A bunch of little fishies happily swimming in our watery world, forever ignorant of the airy world above.
As far as how Soul relates to mind-body, well that would depend on one's tradition/belief.
By the way, the reality we live in is fuzzy. Very fuzzy. Probabilistic. And gravity can't be quantized so we have one theory for the macro (Relativity) and another for the micro (QM).

For me, there is a difference between what material science can currently "show" or "prove" -- based on only what can be physically perceived, observed, measured and experienced -- versus what we on Earth do not yet have the instruments and technology to "prove" to material science (including physics, mathematics, astronomy, cosmology, biology, and all such other branches of science).
It's been the same with everything. "The Earth is flat." Then nobody knew anything about bacteria. They're even still trying to figure out Covid. It's not, of course, that there were no bacteria, or that the Earth actually was flat back in the Dark Ages.
As far as reincarnation. Material science alone will not be able to "prove it", one way or the other, or rather, neither "disprove it".
