25th anniversary of Colombine.

.... and why people do the 'bad' things they do still hasn't been looked at very much.

A little while ago, I watched the docromentary series (11 Minutes) of the Paddock shootings on October 3, 2017 in Las Vegas, USA. It seems, very few people seem to remember that event eve though it was our largest.

Maybe they do bad things because bad things have been done to them. We can’t know people’s history unless it’s revealed, but troubled humans seem to have had very troubled childhoods.

As a society, We push hard to teach children to read and write. Push hard for good grades and homework and neglect to support them to learn about themselves as a human being.

Children arrive in the system already programmed by their earliest foundations, perhaps if the system focused on their social and emotional well being in those first few years and left all the pressures of curriculum out of the picture, we might repair rather than reinforce damage.

@Starman,

You dont allow pm so Id like to ask here....

Ive heard in a song that I come back to now and then "dont drink from the blood that is spilled" (in the context of war and wisdom of war, talking about when you are a rough victorer, but as is stated dont drink from the blood that is spilled).

Do you know why that is? Is that karmic? As in if you reap the victory is that a bad thing, much like pride is a bad thing?

It resonates with me but Im not entirely sure why..

CW, blood letting or the shedding of blood has many religious connotations, as well as secular connotations. Bleeding used to be a healing method but as related to violence; blood has always been associated with life, as in “life’s blood.”

You don’t drink from the blood that is spilled is a parody on not relishing the taking of another person’s life. Basically it means don’t rejoice in the spilling of blood. Blood is one of the most precious commodities which a person has, it feeds the entire body.

Some ancient religions did a blood sacrifice killing an animal or person offering it to god or gods. In the Christian Bible, Deuteronomy says “be sure you do not eat the blood, because the blood is the life, and you must not eat the life with the meat.”

P.S. I don’t accept pm’s because I feel more people can be reached in the public forum, and when I first started posting here I was overdosed with pm’s, some of them were not nice. Although I may reopen it once again an see how that goes.
