Music and yoga
Hi all people who love yoga
Does anyone here listen to music while doing yoga?
I like listening to gentle sounds during my practice. Sometimes I don't listen to anything and sometimes I find something random on youtube. I like Sonicaid music or I find some relaxing/spa sounds for meditation.
I would like to try/hear something fresh and different. Please share what kind of music do you like while doing yoga? Links and names of artists/songs would be greatly appreciated

Thank you for sharing Awakened Queen
Great music but I kind of want to dance while listening it.
I like to listen something more slow while doing yoga. Maybe I will try with nature sounds.
You actually practice yoga while listening that?

Hello Ilovecats :)
When I started doing yoga I listened to a lot of music by Alina Baraz. I like the way her music flows (I personally like the song Drift). You may enjoy Xavier Rudd's music if you haven't heard of him. He's really wonderful. Hmm... check out the song Orange Sky by Alexi Murdoch. It's a beautiful song. I love music, I could go on and on. Personally, doing yoga outside next to a stream or near some type of water, or in the middle of a forest is the most fulfilling :)

Hi Ilovecats!
I love cats too :). I'm wearing a tank top with a cat doing a yoga asana at the moment actually!
I do listen to music while practicing yoga sometimes. It really depends on my mood! Sometimes I like just listening to my breath and not having any other background noise, but sometimes it's nice to have some tunes playing in the background. I would say they're both two different experiences, yet both equally great in their own way.
For more yin style practices, I recommend listening to some music by a band called 'Explosions in the Sky.'
For more yang style practices, there are so many I would recommend! Currently though I'm listening to anything from Michael Jackson to Mumford and Songs to Coldplay.
What are some of your favorites? I'm always on the lookout for music to compliment my yoga practice and the classes I teach :)

Nice top selflove
I like music with no singing, so I can put my focus more on my breathing and my body and I am not focusing on words in the song.
Lately I've been doing yoga without music. When I do listen to it, then I find something soothing and relaxing on youtube, like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eX445QJ0fwE

I've tried Beethowen today and I must say that my practice was quite exciting and refreshing. There are some interesting vibrations in his music

Absolutely. Maybe try more ambient sounds. If you're looking for something more spiritual, Jonathan Goldman has beautiful music.
