( Granted it might fall down onto his neck and he might get accidently strangled in a tackle ) ... But how petty !
It's no different to players that wear those "man -buns, or players that colour their hair all kinds of weird colours.
I just thought it was probably practical, serving as a sweat band like tennis players wear on heads and wrists .

AHH, but I fully know what you mean with the books . My books were my lifeline and even from a very young age to go from "reality " to "fantasy/ fairytale" was where I needed to be .

It's just the more conservative folks here... they will complain about the headbands and about colourful football shoes. Everything and everyone must be bland, or ''normal'' as people here would say it. So they sit in the press room and they make it an issue with the manager!

Looking forward to today's games, and the last day of "third" and final games.
Group 'E' in particular will be interesting as they are all on 3 points and very little between them in goal difference ( group E is Belgium, Slovakia, Romania and Ukraine)...

I was a bit disappointed with the Netherlands. I felt that they didn’t seem to have a game plan cos they were all over the place and lacked drive and pace. Imo. Nice goal from our Cody Gakpo yay!

Austria was on fire and I was totally gobsmacked at the way they played cos I did t expect to see that kind of quality from them. They were fast on the counter attack with good quality passing and never stopped running and pushing until the very end of the game. It would t surprise me if they to the end up in the last couple of games. They certainly did deserve the win imo

Only watched the highlights of the England game. News is scathing of them again. But hey what does it matter, they are thru to the next game so alls good.

Yep I know what you mean about a good book Altair. I’m exactly the same. I could t survive if I didn’t have a book to read. One of the few pleasures in my life.

We also know of course who all the forum members have got left ( or not !!! )....
