I felt that for the first 30 years for my life. Then I came to an awareness of the eternal soul. That understanding changed my life forever. I had been terrified of death, of the nihilist dark pit, and that was the source of all my dread and angst.
When the fear of death has ceased, dread and angst vanishes and is replaced with interest and fascination in the wondrous process of life and soul growth, in all the various ways it manifests in one's life.
