Over time, day after day of reading countless threads and posts over a huge range of topics. How has it all effected you? Has it changed your outlook towards your personal lives, and how?

I give them all respect, it would be great to read what they my have learned along the way. Administrators or mods. Both must have a wealth of experience dealing with others.

My experience from all the internet forums I visit is that the mods get burnt out pretty quickly and need to be replaced. It is voluntary work after all....and they don't need the hassle.

Well, I didn't ask for this job...when approached I said, 'No', fast.
Then, ''Well, ok'' I could help out, esp at the time in 2020 with profanity and rudeness....but nothing else more complicated.
Native was a kind and patient teacher or guide.
But, skimming almost every topic, ones I would never have gone to
for 10 years here, then, getting guff if I did my job
following the Rules Matt set up.. over and over with the same people that didn't like the Rules and felt they should
darn well be able to say what they pleased, got old after 6 months.
Spammers are just time consuming having to delete posts...some hopefully before anyone sees how bad they are.
The Admin has to deal with the people that re-register under diff names 50xs...talk about a bother!

The other thing is that new posters may appear to be similar to those who have been banned and also banned, I think this may have happened to a poster on another forum that I recommended SF to, although he wasn't bothered by the ban.

I've come across some spammers or people who are looking for just another soap box to stand on an shout. There post often seem very scripted and they have very low post. They also very rarely respond to a comment. What still amazes me is how many people are willing to follow these people without any question. But that's the free thinker in me.
