MP3 files.
The people who produce music files for streaming really ought to up their game. I've been comparing the same albums on CD and streamed and the CDs win outright on quality. They have much more depth, richness and bass. I have a £70 cable which connects my laptop to my speakers, but streamed music still sounds tinny.
The truth is that MP3 files contain far less digital info than CDs. (And apparently CDs contain less info than vinyl). Why not create files that contain as much digital info? I guess it will happen one day, but for the time being all streamed music is inferior in quality.
