Ok I see what you mean!
The reason it looks like it’s tilting are two things.
Firstly because you are viewing the object from above with no other objects around it which are also at the same angle.
Secondly because you don’t have a darker tone (shade) around the box which normally “grounds” the object.
If you send me a private message and give me your email number I can send you some ideas that will help you with this.
Different tones in and around an object can make a huge difference to how the overall picture is perceived.

I didn’t actually mean to post that picture. I just used it to test how big I could get it. Obviously didn’t work.
It’s an old painting that I did many years ago and hangs in my house.

Yayyyy finally got it right!
I did this painting from a photograph that was on a book cover by Isabelle Allende. I wrote to her for permission to paint it and asked her who the lady was. She said she was a friend of hers that owned a coffee shop in Sausalito (no idea where that is)
I chose it because I wanted to learn how to Paint lace like Rembrandt did and thought I would have a try on this picture.
It’s a pity the pic is too small to appreciate the work in the lace cos it turned out quite good (for a beginner anyway)and my teacher said ide done a really good job with it. So I said, “can I have a gold star Miss”. LOL
