Columbia v Jamaica and then France v Morocco.

Half time Colombia / Jamaica nil nil.
Jamaica are the only team in last 16 to not have conceded a goal, plus it's the only time they have appeared in the knockout phase .

I'm a bit gutted as I was cheering Jamaica on , I've got a soft spot for them ( another one, gonna have to stop it with these soft spots )... But it's going to make it easier for me on Saturday,.. I will DEFINITELY be routing for England ....

4 nil France. First half exciting, second half like watching paint dry. Was more like walking football.
But at least now we know who the last 8 are .

I see we play France next. That’s gonna be a tough one for the girls. I hope our Sam Kerr’s injury is sorted by then cos she is our best player. She also plays for. Chelsea.
LFC play against Chelsea on Saturday. 11.30pm here so not a bad time. Sooooo looking forward to the games starting again. It’s kinda dull without them lol

Ooohhhhh.....Spain/Netherlands kicking off at 2am here !!
It's enough to make your eyes water.
However if I view on channel 35 ( UK) it shows everything an hour later so I can see it from the start at 3am which is still early enough but I'm not going to miss it. I've come this far !!
PLUS , Netherlands are another of my "soft spots" !!

We just didn't play well full stop and were lucky to scrape through on penalties . Didn't help when James stamped on the Nigerian lass , quite unnecessary.
I've also been having all kinds of problems lately with many issues related to internet etc. Very frustrating. |
