Conversation..... How is it possible to discuss any of the Thread when all I've had is..... horrible, ridiculous, nonsence, not Buddhist, stupid etc: mostly from one certain Person who repeatedly brings up the Thread just to disparage the Writer and it's contents.... a habit that shows in anything I Personally Post, not gone unnoticed btw.... by others.
Converse between yourself.....

Anyway, that's enough from the phony quasi intellectual Buddhist who talks nonsense and drivel, has a guru ego, is insufferable and deluded (and a few other things)
All good stuff.
Welcome to the Pure Land.

I tried, I've read, thought about and dis a few searches on a Buddhist vision of the beatitudes. I've layed out my findings as I see them. I haven't called them horrible, or ridiculous, noncence or stupid. I do doubt there usefullnes or validity from a buddhist point of view. Anyway those writings weren't met with any thoughtful discussion by you apart from some oneliners that didn't make much sense.
Suits me right for trying to engage I guess.

My apologies in as much as basically I don't care what section I'm on, or even what the OP/thread is supposed to be about.
Just to say that from a Pure Land perspective our "practice" is to recognise (for instance) that we have no mercy, say thank you, and move on.
But that is the "easy way" but few there be who walk it

I see. I always think that the conversation had is about the OP. Of course I sidetrack a little here and there. But keeping the OP in mind is kinda the point of forums isn't it?

Just advising you of my own attitude. The point of forums for me is primarily to learn about myself. Selfish I know, but there you go.

Blessed are those who mourn,
for through suffering they will seek and find the path to release.
The Four Noble Truths.
"I teach suffering, its origin, cessation and path. That's all I teach."
The Buddha.

“Enough, Ānanda. Don’t grieve. Don’t lament. Haven’t I already taught you the state of growing different with regard to all things dear & appealing, the state of becoming separate, the state of becoming otherwise? What else is there to expect? It’s impossible that one could forbid anything born, existent, fabricated, & subject to disintegration from disintegrating.

Blessed are the poor,
(the beggars) in spirit, for they will discover the kingdom of heaven is already within.
Spiritual poverty motivates one to have their needs met. Blessed are those who realise,
'No one saves us but ourselves. No one can and no one may. We ourselves must walk the path.' Nirvana is within......
