Changing from Larimar to Purple Labradorite

Last weekend I got a purple sheen labradorite. It happens to be a pendant. I'd rather have it as tumble but I bought it anyway as it was so beautiful.
And to be honest, I've never seen a purple sheen labradorite before. Both front & back, purple sheen.
I hadn't intended to wear it as a pendant as I'm nuts about my larimar pendant that I wear with a pearl on the same chain. For the reason that I was not willing nor ready to take off the larimar but also wanted to wear the pearl. These worked really well together.
I've been wearing them for years now, daily. I've tried other pendants, but it just doesn't feel right, I always want to go back to my larimar!

But now, since yesterday approx., I had that niggling feeling that I wanted to wear the labradorite. Which of course means taking off the larimar as these don't go together at all.
And I did that just now. Still with the pearl. Not sure how long this is going to be for. It almost feels like sacrilege to take off the larimar, hihi. I've been wearing that for a good 8-9 years I think.
It feels odd. Especially since I never really have a thing for labradorite like so many seem to do. It's pretty, but other than that it doesn't greatly appeal to me.

And then to find info on purple labradorite... pffff... I know it's a higher chakra one, one site said Crown chakra. But to find any additional info... impossible it seems?
They all start talking about labradorite in general, some expand on the yellow & blue, sometimes green, but not on the purple.
I guess I'll have to figure it out for myself.

Fairy, that's a ‘heroic’ decision on your part
Wearing a certain crystal, day in day out for nine years, that's not just something.

The purple Labradorite you got is gorgeous.

What makes you think the Labradorite and the Larimar do not go together ?

If it is of any value to you, Mark Bajerski has a vid on purple Labradorite. It's a bit shallow and lacks depth, but who knows, perhaps there's something in it.

Thanks, I'll check it out!
And yes, it is indeed gorgeous. I took photos of it, and captured the flash beautifully! It was quite easy even (I was surprised about that).
As for not wearing it with larimar... intuition. Doesn't seem to fit.
I read somewhere that larimar and labradorite have similar energy, that you could go for larimar if labradorite doesn't work for you.
Maybe that's why combining them isn't really a great idea? But not sure. It's just an intuitive thing and I almost always heed that.

And yes, it was a bit of an heroic act to take off the larimar, haha.

Hi Fairy they did you end up finding the extra info (they also don't often separate the info between labradorite and spectrolite but i guess there would be only minor differences). I have some purple in my labradorite palm stone. At first I was drawn to the blue/green but now finding I am drawn to the golden/yellow hues.
I wonder if you're still wearing the labradorite and pearl together and if this combo worked for you!

Hi Sapphire!
I actually didn't wear it for very long as I terribly missed my larimar.
It seems I just cannot not wear that, hihi, so I went back to larimar and the pearl (2 separate pendants that I wear on the same silver necklace).

Oh interesting. I was thinking a dark purple labradorite and gray/tahitian pearl with a purple luster could be a nice pairing too.

I had to Google those. Would indeed make a nice pairing but it has to suit you. It's not my kind of pearl so it wouldn't be for me.
I love the baroque freshwater pearls (irregular shape) with their beautiful colours! They are pure joy, which I do not get from the Tah. pearl.

They have salmon, lilac, silvery green, blue and whatnot. Each is unique, both in shape and colour.

Yes I see the pretty luster. Is this the type of pearl you paired with the larimar? My mum has earrings with keshi/kashi type pearls (I think that's what they're called, they are more flat and rounded). They also have a pretty luster just like those baroque ones.

Yes, I have a freshwater pearl, and what I learnt the other day these are also called baroque pearl.

These are my pendants:
Difficult to catch all the beautiful colours of the pearl. It has an overall golden light peach sheen with shimmers of pink, purple, green.
I tried to captures those on camera, didn't quite succeed...

As for the larimar, as you can see mine is blue only, no green in it.

These are my two precious pendants that I wear every day.

Oh they look so beautiful paired together (even better in real life im sure)! I haven't seen a larimar as nice as this before (also for some strange reason I don't wear pear/tear-drop styles) maybe that's why I haven't been drawn to it in the past.
Thank you for sharing (I know you don't usually post photos of your personal crystals)!
