This is an interesting question. It exposes a lot about a person I think, even to ones self.
First of all Fear is: "Fear is a negative sensation brought on by a perceived threat. It is a survival instinct in response to a specific stimulus, such as pain or the threat of danger. In short, fear is the ability to recognize danger leading to an urge to confront it or flee from it (also known as the fight-or-flight response)." From Wikipeidia
So I guess 'Fear' truly is what it is defined as. It is that sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach that lets you know that something is not right or could be dangerous. It helps a person identify a bad situation and then the mind works on a solution. I think fear can be good or bad. In this case I think it is a good thing and can be helpful. I don't think it is always a good thing, it can be crippling in some cases. But since the question is 'Why do you fear?' I guess that is another thread. *smiles*
Thanks for the question.
Peace and Light,
SC

I fear because/when I am threatened (as opposed to feeling or simply thinking that I am threatened.)
Why do you fear, thinker108?
