Yeah, I reckon you're right about that, our conditioning in the west does seem to be very much geared towards striving and straining to achieve goals - learning to put all that conditioning to one side as best you can and instead tap into your intuition is really important where spiritual growth is considered, I think (it has been for me, at least).

I love 'slow is smooth and smooth is fast', so much truth to that I think (I've heard that saying from the lips of that legendary philosopher Phil Dunphy in 'Modern Family').

(There's an interesting synchronicity, I just happen to be listening to a song called 'Deadline' as I type!)

Yikes. We live and learn I guess, or at least that's the hope!

"How was your journey on having your spiritual abilities opening up?"

Probably because I thought I was in a good place and wondered several 'whys' about others as they were. Particularly those who were miserable, envious, over-extrovert and so on. Which made me wonder if I was really in such a good place after all.
I found I wasn't. So I had to dig. I think the worst was fighting delusion and developing honesty.

I have found that once you start on your spiritual journey, then the learnings present themselves. They could be books, newspaper articles, conversations and such. Once you’re awakened to spirituality, it’s as if everything becomes a learning experience for you. The things you are ready to know at that time are then presented to you in some way.
