I loved the Carlos Castenada books as they were great stories and adventure to follow but when he tried to explain things in an academic way it didn't work, was boring and lumpen. So much so called scientific stuff I and others soon tire of,and all that work the researcher carries out! All the Don Juan and othe sorcerers of the same group books are good but The Art of Dreaming may be the one for this instance.
