Even in to the 70's, a person could find coffe for 10 cents.

The first, full time job I had, a meal at the company cafeteria was only 60 cents. That included meat, potatoes, a vegetable, bread and butter, a beverage and a desert. My meals there would cost me $2.00. I had 3 meals, extra pies and a stack of bread with matching butter that today would be considered a loaf of bread....... I was a walking garbage can. Always hungry. LOL!

Those pictures show a period of conservative dressing ...... all the way to the other extreme.

The 60's provided FDA approved birth control pills along with pantyhose.

I think of the Beatles and TM since they came back from India.
I think of how their music made us aware of going within.

Young people: That's Transcendental Meditation and the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
And their album Revolver, some consider their best; bringing to the West Indian flavors:

First time hearing things like ''surrender to the Void'' - 1966

The 60s was a ''turning point in 20th century consciousness".

Prepare yourself for the coming astral journey of death by daily riding in the balloon of God-perception.
Through delusion you are perceiving yourself as a bundle of flesh and bones, which at best is a nest of troubles.
Meditate unceasingly, that you may quickly behold yourself as the Infinite Essence, free from every form of misery. ~Paramahansa's Guru's Guru

The 60's were just ace.
Late 60's into 70's and EVERTHING was orange and brown LOL...
Mini skirts were all the fashion , you looked odd if you wore anything lower than your thigh !!!
( Far cry from Victorian times where ladies dare not show an ankle )...
Mary Quant was the icon of the fashion...
Beehive hairstyles and lots of black eyeliner ...
Just fabulous .

Lieutenant Nyota Uhura, from the original Star trek series, very attractive, emphasized the mini-skirt in her dress.
She even became more attractive with her romantic involvement with Spock.

Iconic ... And a very beautiful woman.
Played by actress Nichelle Nichols , and she was still a very beautiful woman right up until her death just 2 years ago aged 89.
