tax credit in the uk
I was approached this morning by a few women who had gone to the bank to collect their child tax credit
only to find, it was stopped by the tax credit ppl, i asked if she had phoned them only to find the office closed until monday, surprise surprise ( not ), this concerns anyone who has tax credit who has got a child going up into six form or colllege, check your money. because only yesterday did the office start looking at the claims and they can take up to six weeks to sort out,
i know some ppl were waiting to get their money to buy the last remaining things needed by their child to go back on monday,
the office were notified by myself im may about my own situation.and still they did nothing, i will be bringing it up in council. because its hit ppl very hard, i dont claim social benefits so its up to me to buy everything.
if you claim social and live in wales with a child going up to high school for the first time. you can get £150 one off payment so anyone reading this who lives in the uk. with a child going to high school check it out.
but its a government department so dont expect miracles.
Namaste
